Who Are We?

C-19 RAT is established with main objectives to address Nepal facing shortages of oxygen, beds, essential supplies, maintenance of biomedical equipment, data management and trained human resources through joint intervention of multiple organization from one door system.

Our Objectives

  • To provide technical support to fulfill the rising need of essential health infrastructures required to address increasing cases of Covid-19.
  • To collect, manage and disseminate the available data for effective distribution of available life-saving biomedical equipment including oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators and to immediate setup of oxygen plants.
  • To facilitate the supply chain and management necessary for health infrastructures including oxygen cylinder and its accessories for those in critical need.
  • To mobilize group of volunteers for information collection, need assessment and manage available necessary health infrastructures for the critical need.
  • To aware people against misconceptions and misinformation related to COVID-19 and advocate for COVID-19 response policy.

BEFON

Biomedical Engineering Foundation Nepal (BEFON) is a nonprofit organization established in 2016 by Nepal’s first Biomedical Engineer Er. Bikash Bahadur Shrestha, PEng. BEFON provides repair and maintenance service of medical equipment all over the country. BEFON is the industry leader in biomedical services and management.

BEFON focuses on technical and pragmatic approaches to contribute towards the health and technology sector in Nepal. BEFON aims to bridge the gap between health and technology in Nepal.

CREASION

A registered not-for-profit, nonpolitical and non- governmental organization. Its project is based on the environment, youth, women and children and responds to emergency disasters through a sustainable approach. It has served in the forefront and emerged as the first responders during the 2015 earthquake. CREASION Nepal in collaboration with Covid Alliance for Nepal has started a civil society led campaign, Oxygen for Nepal through which it targets to aid the current undersupply of supplementary oxygen in Nepal.

ENPHO

A leading national level non-government organization that envisaged to create eco-societies by providing quality services on water, sanitation, public health and environment. It has completed its 30 years of journey and served more than 4 million people of Nepal.

ENPHO has experience in disaster response and providing humanitarian support to people affected by earthquake, cholera epidemic and during first wave of COVID-19. Currently, it is working in 47 of 77 districts of Nepal.

GUTHI

GUTHI has always come forward to respond to the emergencies. It championed a solution of hygiene kit and PPEs to the sanitation workers in the informal sector and health care facilities. It has introduced the foot operated touchless hand wash stations in close coordination with the municipalities, Red Cross Society and the communities in collaboration with WaterAid, AEROSAN and other agencies during the COVID 19 pandemic.

It is a NGO established in 2000 is dedicated towards education, environment conservation, child protection services, WASH. The name is borrowed from a Newari tradition where ‘GUTHI’ means a committee of certain groups of people coming together during the time of celebration or adversity.

Innovative Solution

Provides innovative solutions to address the development challenges through mainstreaming the use of Data and Information Technology to drive innovation in policies, processes and programs. It integrates Social Science Research methods and Information Technology to plan, implement and monitor the development interventions.

The company has led the development of Nepal COVID-19 Surveillance System to support local government in controlling the spread of COVID-19 in 20 municipalities of Nepal during first wave of COVID19. It has been backstopping CCMC in preparing geospatial data sets and maps to monitor the spread of COVID-19 in Kathmandu Valley and other parts of Nepal. It is also supporting study team for Wastewater-based Epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 for Averting COVID-19 outbreaks in Nepal (WESCAN).

SEN

SEN is an NGO established in 2001 with a vision of achieving sustainable human-environment interactions. To accomplish the goal, SEN deploys a collaborative approach to contribute to community empowerment across a wide range of fields including disaster management, energy, agriculture, water resources, climate change adaptation, and governance.

With its networks established with multi-stakeholders, SEN has successfully conducted several projects at local, national, and regional levels.
